We were so pleased to finish our National campaign yesterday by winning 1st Open British International Championship Club Guernsey. We thought with east winds in the channel we would be beaten on the west side but thought we had a decent chance of a good performance as the birds have been coming so well. To say it’s been a dream season is an understatement.
What was especially pleasing with this performance for me was the fact this hen has finally won a 1st position as she has dropped so many times with the winner but has never managed to trap first.
This good grizzle hen is out of ‘Grizzly Wonder’ x ‘Bulck 113’ which are responsible for 9 x 1st BBO & Berkshire Fed winners and incidentally are the grand parents of last weeks 1st Open National Flying Club Carentan winner.
